Dr. Ramona Pungan was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania and received her medical degree from Carol Davila University in Bucharest. She and her husband moved to the United States in 1998, where she completed her internal medicine residency and endocrinology and metabolism fellowship at Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Medical Franklin School of Medicine. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. Her interests are thyroid disorders, diabetes and obesity.

Dr. Pungan was in private practice in Oregon before moving to this area. She and her husband Marian, an internist, have two young children and love the outdoors, mountaineering and skiing.
